About Us

A circular blue emblem with the words 'Together in Recovery' and a road graphic.

Blue Door Sober Living is an LGBTQIA+ community rooted in recovery, fellowship, mutual support and accountability.

Founded in 2019 with the vision of a safe, sober, and serene home for queer people in Los Angeles with a 12-step meeting in its living room, Blue Door has expanded to a community of 20+ people across two sober living houses in the heart of Los Angeles, each providing a welcoming and supportive environment for our residents.

One of our specialities at Blue Door is helping bridge the gap between treatment and independent living. So often we see newly sober fellows graduate from a treatment program, and try to go back to their old life, when a supportive community of fellows and mutual accountability is the only thing that kept them sober in the first place.

Our model allows residents to have more independence, while still providing accountability and safeguards, and our price point allows for a sustainable long term stable living environment.

This model works long-term for residents who enjoy living in a collaborative community, whether they went through treatment facilities or not.
